Rushing Enterprises is a company that provides industrial level sanitation, general cleaning and truck fleet washing equipment, supplies and service. Rushing Enterprises was established in 1974 and currently serves customers in seventeen southeastern states as well as the north central area with over 1,250 supermarkets on their cleaning programs and over 320,000 trucks and trailers washed each year with their State of the Art Drive-Thru Truck Washing Systems.

Situation

Their previous web site did not show the wide range of their services and did not match with their

corporate image

.  Also, the colors and logo did not match what they were using on their products, advertising, stationary and advertising.  In addition, they were not getting the service and support that they needed.

Challenge

As Rushing Enterprises is a company that has a wide reach into a significant portion of the United States and has a wide variety of products, there was a substantial amount of content that was not on their

web site

.  Regretfully, there was not a lot of website ready content or images that was readily available for use so a lot of creative work would be included to match their needs.  In addition, they needed the ability to make changes quickly.  As the original site was hard-coded pages, trying to maintain the site as it was would have created a

website maintenance

problem.

Solution

In November 2004, we began a

website redesign

which employed their logo and logo color schemes throughout the site as well as provided an extensive navigation system to completely showcase their products and services. Due to the need for ease of maintenance we installed the

Joomla

CMS application and customized the template to match their needs.  This is a very large site with a lot of their products online along with MDS documents as well as pages covering their support, documentation and company areas.

In February 2009, we created a complete redesign of the website with an upgrade of the system to a

Joomla

1.5 based site. Everything was completely redone including new images, new document PDF files, new header rotation as well as dynamic sidebars using fade effects to go from product to product. Although the final design was not our initial offering, management at Rushing Enterprises preferred a site formatted similar to their original website. As a firm that listens to the client, that is exactly what we provided. When our vision differs from our clients vision, we built to our clients vision!

Results

RushingEnterprises.com is a website that provides dynamic displays of several products as well as 'simple to read' bulleted highlights of key points on their home page.  There is ease of navigation with drop-down menus that provides straight access to different categories of products and services.  The header features a rotating slideshow of the types of floor finishes that their products are used to clean and polish.  Webbering took the original logo and enhanced it for use on the website as well as we provided all graphics to personnel at Rushing Enterprises for use on brochures, stationary, business cards and advertising.  The color scheme of the website was designed to match with the colors that the company uses in its logo.  Ongoing maintenance is provided with personnel from Rushing Enterprises communicating with Webbering which updates the website promptly.  In addition, Webbering created brochures for many of the products which are available via PDF files with links from the product pages.
